CNC Setter Operator Programmer

We are looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join our client in the Sheffield area. The ideal candidate must be confident programming using FANUC as well as operating the machinery. If you are an experienced CNC Operator please read on.

• Monday to Thursday - 7am-3:30pm & Friday - 7am-2:30pm
• 15.00 per hour. Overtime at x1.5.

Duties:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Use FANUC software to program machine operations
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality

Experience:

• Previous experience operating CNC machines required
• Familiarity with FANUC logic controllers and programming languages
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
