IN2 Consult is currently supporting one of our key clients based in Oxford on their recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager to join their rapidly-growing finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a first or second time mover from audit to join an exciting PLC business that operates globally, and influence key decision makers while working collaboratively with the wider finance and non-finance teams.
This Commercial Finance Manager role includes the following duties:
- Conduct monthly reviews of cost centre expenses in collaboration with managers. to identify and analyse financial information, providing performance reports with appropriate commentary for management and FP&A.
- Present cost centre analysis to senior management and managers.
- Partner with non-financial teams to oversee research agreements and licenses financially.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Work with the wider finance teams to efficiently collect and analyse data for financial information.
- Aid in preparing monthly management accounts, including group consolidation.
- Collaborate with wider finance teams to record information in the accounting system with enough detail to support R&D capitalisation analysis.
- Work with FP&A and cost centre managers on future budget preparations.
- Assist in preparing year-end and statutory accounts.
- Provide support for statutory and internal audits.
The ideal candidate for this Commercial Finance Manager will have the following experience:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified
- Ideally originates from a Practice background
- Proven experience in providing insightful financial analysis to aid decision making
- Ability to identify process improvements and implement accordingly
- Proven track record in building & maintaining strong relationships with financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
