About the role.
Our Commercial Finance team has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to come and join us at our automated fulfilment site, Skygate, based in the East Midlands. The successful candidate will help support the delivery of operations strategy and to help identify sustainable operational efficiencies
Key Responsibilities
- To provide financial support and advice to the operational teams ensuring targets are communicated, understood and deliverable.
- Create, maintain, and automate reports, provide analysis and insight for the management team and ensure robust financial controls are in place.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting
- Monitor and communicate performance against budget and targets with operational teams and Group finance
- Jointly accountable for the fulfilment centre annual operation plan alongside the Skygate leadership team.
About you
A qualified accountant with a proven track record of delivering high quality reporting
- Technically strong with the ability to deal with complexity and communicate complex financial matters in simple terms
A mentality that is passionate about making a difference
- An individual that doesn’t get lost in the day to day noise. Someone that can work with their stakeholders to define what will be making the biggest difference to performance in year and in future years and get it delivered.
- They can build positive relationships to become an integral member of the division and are brought into key decisions
- A continuous improvement approach to focus on value add through automation and prioritisation
Delivers commercial insight in a high paced environment
- Hold outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret critical information and data.
- Able to exercise sound commercial judgement and have the confidence to recommend a course of action to the business based on commercial insight.

- An influencer who uses strong insight to drive commercially led decision making within stakeholder forums
- Confident providing constructive independent challenge to the business to ensure strong financial basis in decision making process
