Our client is a market leading specialist sub-contractor. They have worked on some of the most prestigious commercial and infrastructure projects across the UK.
They have a secured of work for the year ahead already with some major projects in the pipeline over the next few years.
About the Role:
They are looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Manager that has the desire to become a senior management figure in their commercial team.
Understand and define project scope, goals and deliverables to ensure the project is quoted within budget and program (as supplied by the client)
Must have NEC contract experience
Create scope of works / pricing documents
Help with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities (procurement)
Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Lead the commercial team in the preparation and submission of bids and tenders.
Negotiate and agree on commercial contracts with clients and suppliers.
Manage and monitor project costs and budgets to ensure profitability.
Provide commercial guidance and support to project teams.
Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
About the Candidate:
At least 5 years of experience in a commercial management role in the construction industry.
NEC contract experience is essential
Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial strategies and managing projects.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Analytical and strategic thinker.
