An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. Why this job matters:
In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the value of managed contracts through managing risks, effectively delivering contractual obligations and excellent stakeholder management for a single large managed contract OR a portfolio of managed contracts.
What you’ll do:
- Accountable for the management of contracts, builds a strong relationship with senior customer stakeholders. Is the main commercial interface and lead for the customer of the managed contract on all contractual commercial topics.
- Meets BT teams to explore whether it is possible to deliver customer requirements and takes a view as to whether BT should go ahead with the deal.
- Assesses and manages the in-life contractual obligations and assigns internal BT teams to the relevant tasks (including themselves)
- For the lifetime of a contract, monitors and manages contractual obligations including T&Cs and SLAs; identifies and manages commercial risks and issues.
- Determines effective Change Control: Identifies a change to a contractual agreement and ensures this is managed in the defined way/process; involves the appropriate parties.
- Manages and reports via CGR on commercial aspects of contract performance; uses defined processes and tools to assess and monitor commercial viability.
- Independently maintains records for complex decision points, efficiency of change controls and general support activities in relation to a contract.
- Manages the contract baseline and is responsible for contract conformance. Maintains records of all formal correspondence with the customer.
- Responsible for review and sign off for all formal documentation sent to the customer.
- Management of disputes to resolution
- Manage flow down of terms and conditions to supplier via BT Procurement
- IPR - to protect BT Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) through negotiation of Non-Disclosure Agreements and other appropriate mechanisms.
- Supports contract management organisation across several activities such as contract governance (CGRs), risk management / mitigation & obligations, customer support, debt.
What you'll bring:
- A good understanding of contract law and commercial constructs, and the ability to apply that knowledge to correspondence and in review of correspondence.
- Commercial management of a complex managed service contract
- Understanding of contract governance including CGR preparation and delivery.
- Understanding of Risk Management for major contracts and/or attended training in Risk Management
You may also have:
- Some knowledge of and where possible qualifications in contract management practices
- Knowledge of Open Book Accounting Contracts
- UK Government Developed Vetting – if you do not have this, you will be required to undertake this clearance.
