Job Description:
We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Chef at The Pompadour, you will have the opportunity to work alongside passionate and dedicated team of chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to the restaurant's high standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with food hygiene regulations.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and tasks.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for cooking and a keen interest in fine dining.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
