Commis Chef

Barbican Kitchen in Plymouth has the position of Commis / Chef de partie available, using the best seasonal ingredients, in a fun professional setting, come join a forward thinking team, headed up by an excellent head chef and guided by the professional knowledge and skills of the Tanner Brothers.

As a Chef you will report directly to the Head Chef. The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

• Food preparation
• Cooking and preparing high quality dishes
• Running a kitchen station
• Supervising, motivating and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
• Being responsible for following health and safety practices
• Being responsible for following food hygiene practices
• Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created
• Assisting with food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
• Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines

Alongside some of these more general skills, a good Chef should possess:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
