We are seeking an enthusiastic person to work as Commis chef in a team of 6 chefs. The fantastic privately owned boutique hotel and restaurant is located overlooking the sea and has a great reputation for food and service within Bude and surrounding areas.
The candidate will have a genuine passion for food and service. Ideally but not essential to have some experience in a fast paced kitchen and will have previously worked in a quality dining restaurant. The menu features modern British and European style dishes made from fresh locally sourced ingredients. A good all-rounder will be perfect for the role.
You will work a mixture of straight and split shifts, including weekends approximately 40 hours per week, increasing in the holiday season. You should be outgoing, approachable and a strong team player.
You will work closely with the rest of the team, learning how to prepare, cook and plate food, manage stock control, costings, and menu planning. This is an ideal opportunity for someone either wanting to become a chef or looking at progressing in their place of work and bringing ideas to the plate.
40 hours a week
Good rate of pay, in line with experience
