Work in a small but busy kitchen, open seasonally in the highlands of Scotland. We work with a few local farmers, market gardens and fishermen, using their produce to create good quality pub food. Everything is done in house, from butchery to baking our own sourdough, pies and desserts. There are opportunities for learning and progressing skills, foraging and gardening.
No experience required but is preferred, ideally candidates should have a level 2 hygiene certificate and some past experience working in kitchens. We are looking for a passion for good honest food, a strong work ethic, and a good sense of fun.
Responsibilities:
- Follow recipes to bake bread, desserts and other dishes.
- Follow a cleaning rota and maintain a clean kitchen.
- Help the dish washing and cleaning staff.
- Be a responsible team member.
- Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Prepare food according to customers' needs and preferences.
- Work with different ingredients.
- Work under pressure.
Staff accomodation is available, either on site or in the village. Your own transport is recommended as we are quite remote, but not necessary.
