The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield's 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original wasteplants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd's owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo.
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer's needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Generating Preservation and Maintenance Work Lists (PWLs), from the HUB2 / Go Completions database.
- Tracking the availability of Vendors 'Spares Requirement Schedules' (SRSs), located on the Project's Vendor Documents Summary Register.
- Identifying any Spares Documents (including SRSs (or Bill of Materials, O&M Manuals and Equipment Lists still to be submitted, and requesting status of document production, via the relevant Package Manager and / or Quantity Surveyor.
- Submitting Spares information onto SAP for ordering / re-ordering of Spares.
- Taking receipt of new Measuring & Test Equipment (MTE).
- Registering of new MTE on the 'Commissioning MTE Register'.
- Arranging for routine calibration of MTE (including delivery and collection).
- Assist in liaising with the Commissioning Team, to review quotations and identify any additional required scope of work.
Here's What You'll Need:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 (ideally Level 3) in an Engineering or Scientific subject, with relevant Site experience.
- Have a basic understanding of, both, Mechanical and CE&I Engineering Drawings.
- Commissioning / Construction Support experience.
- MS Office software, particularly Excel and Word
- MS Office suite, specifically: Excel, Word and Visio.
- SharePoint.
- Hilti ON! Track.
- GoCompletions HUB2.
The ability to obtain BPSS is essential for this role.
