Communications and Marketing Officer

You will be a key member of a forward-thinking Bolton Council Marketing, Communications and Commercial Team where no two days are the same!

You will plan and deliver internal and external marketing communication campaigns and initiatives with the aim of promoting Bolton, the major events, its assets and enhancing employee awareness and support of council policies and services, and delivering service objectives.

The team is of fundamental importance in communicating with our residents and staff, raising the profile of Bolton, promoting the reputation of the Borough, and in working with our partners on borough-wide communication campaigns.

Job Description

About You

·       A good marcomms foundation, with minimum of 1 year professional experience.

·       Self-starter, motivated and proactive marketeer.

·       Experience in media, campaign planning, managing social media channels and website.

·       Looking to develop your career and enjoys taking on responsibility.

·       Able to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences.

·       Relevant qualification in PR, journalism, communications or marketing and equivalent demonstrable experience.

Where you'll be based

Your office will be easily commutable in central Bolton at the Town Hall. Being able to attend the office is important and we offer hybrid working capabilities.
