Coin Street is seeking a passionate and experienced Communications Officer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's messaging and ensuring that our communications are consistent and impactful. The Communications Officer will provide support to the communications team, with specific responsibility to assist the Communications and Media Manager with the delivery of communications and media relations activities.
You will contribute to communications, media, and marketing plans to increase awareness of and engagement in Coin Street’s community activities (e.g. Coin Street’s community programmes and family & children’s centre), as well projects and campaigns.
Internally the team supports the Leadership team, People and Team Building teams and boards to communicate with colleagues and promote diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing through the internal communications strategy. Externally the team communicates with all key audiences including residents, commercial tenants, service users and the public. The team uses a range of communication channels and techniques to ensure that messages are communicated effectively.

Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB) is a social enterprise responsible for developing and managing a significant part of London’s South Bank. We have transformed a largely derelict area into a thriving place for people to live, work and visit.
Our 13-acre estate includes:
- the iconic Oxo Tower Wharf, home to designer-maker studios, exhibition and gallery spaces
- a successful conference centre
- cafes, bars and restaurants
- parks and the riverside walkway
- award winning co-operative housing
- an Ofsted Outstanding family and children’s centre providing a nursery and family support
As a social enterprise income we generate stays in the neighbourhood. It’s used to improve and maintain our site which includes Bernie Spain Gardens and the riverside walkway, and to provide a range of free and affordable programmes and activities for families, children, young people, adults and older people in Waterloo and North Southwark.

Permanent, 35 hours per week.
Salary
£33,000 per annum
