Community Hub Manager
- 1 x Full time role 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

- Based at: Wandsworth Hub (Tooting High Street, SW17).
Are you a natural leader with a proven track record of operational roles at management level?
We’re looking for a Community Hub Manager to head up our dynamic team in Wandsworth. This Hub provides a safe and supportive space where people living with moderate to severe mental health needs can take part in activities or engage with services to improve their wellbeing as well as build confidence, resilience, skills, connections and independence. This is delivered through:
- 1:1 support with an allocated worker.
- Therapeutic and educational groups.
- Skills-based workshops.
- Creative groups and day trips.
- Freshly cooked meals for Lunch
The right candidate will be able empower service users to live independently while leading a passionate and dynamic team. Simultaneously, you’ll manage relationships with referrers and commissioners of the service to ensure satisfaction and confidence is maintained.
We’re keen to hear from someone with knowledge of community based services, who puts service user experience at the heart of their work and experience of managing a team of front line mental health workers. The role will especially suit someone with an understanding of the complexities and nuances around different levels of acuity.
You will:
- Be responsible for the overall development and delivery of Wandsworth community Programmes including Tooting Hub and outreach-based support across the Wandsworth borough.
- Liaise effectively with commissioners and stakeholders to maintain relationships and develop services and business across Wandsworth.
- Develop and maintain excellent partnership working relationships with a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector organisations across Wandsworth.
- Be able to implement change as required to ensure business is maintained and developed.
You are:
- Someone with at least two years’ experience of leading and managing day-to-day operations and a team.
- Able to manage people effectively, ensuring accountable line management arrangements are maintained.
- Passionate about working directly with people with mental health needs, including experience of working in a recovery-based service.
- A highly effective communicator that enables you to:
- Manage and develop partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Support, inspire, and developing multiple teams.
- Work with people with varying acuity of mental health needs.
