You will own social media, content creation and community management for our 2 leading festival/experience brands.

You will get to meet the audience your work reached in real life as the community you have fostered comes together each year at our annual events.

Key Information

  • Salary: £42,000 to £47,000 per year depending on experience
  • Social: Monthly adventures/parties with your team
  • Health: £500 per year for your physical/mental health
  • Education: £1000 per year for your learning and development
  • Tools: Premium hardware and software for you to do your best work
  • Annual Leave: 30 days (including public holidays)
  • Location: Hybrid (Min 2 days per week in London Office)
  • Hours: 35hrs per week (Normally 10:00-18:00 but some flexibility possible)
  • Start Date: Aug 2024

Your mission

Own the content strategy and utilise it to drive engagement and revenue across our brands. Create content across a range of formats (image, video, copy), tell engaging stories and foster vibrant community discussion.

Your objectives

  1. Use content strategy and testing to increase the engagement and revenue we are able to drive with content used across our paid and organic channels.
  2. Increase return on investment from our existing social media channels (Facebook & Instagram) and explore new opportunities for growth (eg TikTok, Snapchat).
  3. Increase engagement and satisfaction across our community groups.
  4. Build a network of content and community partners (eg Influencers, Bloggers, Brands) and implement a relationship management system.

Your responsibilities

As a company we focus on objectives and results, with individuals driving the decisions on the best ways to achieve them. We have included this list of responsibilities to give you an idea of the starting point for this position; the exact responsibilities will develop under your leadership.

  • Content Strategy: manage our content strategy across organic and paid channels to continually improve the content we are producing across all placements and funnel stages, aiming to increase engagement and ultimately drive more revenue.
  • Organic Social Media Management: Develop a social strategy and manage our social media to ensure that there is a steady stream of high-quality content being produced and published, tracking the performance and making adjustments as needed. Supporting key company communications around ticket on-sales and upcoming events.
  • Community Management: Nurture and moderate our online communities to make them vibrant and exciting places. Be an advocate for our community within the business and share insights from community discussions with the team.
  • Content Creation: Create a range of content types for our social media and community platforms using your own writing, editing, design, photography, and videography skills. Project manage the delivery of additional content from freelancers and agencies if required.
  • Partnerships: Build partnerships and manage relationships with influencers, sponsors, artists and community champions to grow our community size and brand presence.
  • Event Content Capture: Manage content capture onsite at events, working with videographers, photographers, influencers and attendees to capture content that can be used for marketing purposes.
  • Content Library: Manage our content library; organising, storing, and retrieving content as needed to ensure it is easily usable by the whole company.
  • Market Research: continually monitoring emerging trends, world events and competitor activity to inform our content and social strategies.
  • Analyses: Analyse the success of content, social and Community Marketing efforts. This includes tracking metrics such as engagement, website traffic and purchase data to determine the effectiveness of your work.

Your experience & abilities

  • Depth of Knowledge: 5+ years experience in content strategy, social media, and Community Marketing, with proven success in these areas.
  • Storytelling: Proven ability to craft compelling stories and tell them utilising different creative formats.
  • Content Creation: Verifiable content creation skills and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Express) or similar creative software.
  • Social Media: Proven ability to create and execute social media content marketing strategies to drive community and revenue growth. Deep knowledge of developing social media trends and platform developments.
  • Copywriting: Examples of exceptional copywriting skills, with a harmonious blend of engagement, actionable prompts, keyword inclusion, and brand voice alignment.
  • Community Moderation: Experience moderating online communities to keep them engaging, positive and safe places.
  • Project & Calendar Management: Experience working with multiple stakeholders and contributors to keep marketing calendars and projects on track.
  • Consumer Psychology: Demonstrable understanding of why people engage with content and communities and what drives behaviour across different target audiences.
  • Quality Control: an excellent eye for detail and ability to ensure all content is high quality and on-brand with examples to share.
  • Trends: Deep interest and understanding of social media trends and ability to quickly get involved in them in a relevant way.
  • Analytical Insights: Experience using insights from Google Analytics and other analytics platforms to inform content strategy and drive enhanced results.
