About Us

We have an exciting opportunity within the Community Safety Team at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils for a fixed term role through Richmond and Wandsworth Shared Service Agreement. 

The Service works on key themes including Serious Violence, Offender Management, Anti-Social Behaviour, Neighbourhoods, Domestic Abuse, Prevent and Radicalisation and Hate Crime. 

This will predominately involve working to reduce reoffending of high harm, prolific and selected offenders across Richmond and Wandsworth boroughs. 

Key functions will be coordination and project management within this key theme of work. Tasks will include, co-ordinating panel and strategic meetings, putting together agendas, keeping the mailing lists up to date, minute taking, recording actions, assigning to agencies, following up on actions assigned and collating information for reports.

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, has good experience in co-ordinating or administrating and working in partnership with other agencies. You need to be able to work well under pressure, prioritise your own workload, meet deadlines on time, and communicate openly and honestly with your colleagues and management on any challenges with capacity. 

About the role

The post holder will:

Coordinate and facilitate monthly panel meetings, keep a record of key decisions made and work proactively with partners to ensure actions are progressed.   

Maintain and keep a record of the cohort using ECINS (this will be supported by the ECINS project lead and or Senior officers).

Coordinate all external agencies to engage with the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) program.

Attend other relevant meetings to contribute to the intelligence and discussion regarding cases (Community Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (CMARAC), Channel panel, Youth Justice Service (YJS).

To ensure the governance for various panels and boards across the service are updated annually and shared with partners including delivery plans and terms of reference.

To raise the profile of the Reducing Reoffending Delivery Group with partner agencies, highlighting the needs of the cohort and crime reduction opportunities.

To build strong relationships with organisations at both operational and Senior Management level and bring them together on the reducing reoffending agenda.

Look for gaps in current provision for the high harm offenders within the borough and for those on the IOM scheme. Make recommendations to the delivery group. 

Produce reports and strategies for the Reducing Re-offending Strategic Delivery Group, the Community Safety Partnership or other strategic boards across the councils.

To have a robust knowledge on information sharing between statutory partners.

Develop and share best practice with our neighbouring boroughs and boroughs across London.

Work with officers across the service on area-based problem solving where a offender has been identified as causing crime, anti-social behaviour or serious violence. Look at the Victim, Offender, Location, Time (VOLT) model.

To support the Community Safety Analyst with building a dashboard for this area of work.

Being efficient at the use of Microsoft and Excel spreadsheets to log information.

Desirable criteria is knowledge of ECINS (data management software) however training can take place within the role.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a related subject area or equivalent through previous work experience.  

This is a fixed term full-time role for 36 hours per week. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across two locations (Wandsworth Town Hall and Richmond Civic Centre) as well as having working from home arrangements. Occasionally you may be asked to work in the evening or weekend to attend and support the team at a community forum or evening event, notice will be provided.
