Community Resource WorkerBradfordGBP21.61 Per HourI am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for a Community Resource Worker to join the Children's and families team. Key Role RequirementsTo assess the emotional, physical, intellectual and cultural needs of both child and carer particularly from the community, in partnership with them and to respond to families in crisis and children in need, to offer linguistically and culturally sensitive support, advice and guidance appropriate to the situation and in the most appropriate setting, eg: Family/carer's/ child's home, Family Centre, Resource centre, Constituency Office, Residential Unit, Community Setting.To develop and deliver a preventative service and where appropriate to rehabilitate, maintain and improve the quality of care provided both inside and outside the family group.To further the provision of the Department's services to children and families as required by relevant legislation.To develop awareness of the needs of children/young people from the community, contribute to their emotional, psychological and physical needs, and where appropriate enable individuals to understand, accept and change their personal situation.To act as a Primary Worker for a number of children/young people/carers on agreed work programmes, attending planning meetings, case conferences, reviews and Court as necessary to the conduct of the case.To act as an Escort.Essential Experience Minimum 2 years experience of working with children and/young people in need, looked after or subject to child protection work. Experience of multi agency working for children in need and their families.experience working with issues of Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol, Domestic Violence in a Children/family setting.NVQ Level 3 Care, Cert Ed, DipSW, (or equivalent) RGN, Youth & community Dip HE, Personal Adviser Diploma.
