Compliance Manager

My client operates a 4-day working week at full salary. Ideally, we would like this candidate to be present every Wednesday in the office to work alongside the Head of Compliance.

As my client continues to grow and experience success within its industry, I am excited to now recruit for a Compliance Manager. You will have ideally gained relevant experience and be looking for a role where your knowledge and expertise can add real value.

The role:

• Work Closely with the Head of Compliance to deliver a control framework against risks such as Fraud, Conduct and consumer.
• Make sure issues are identified through proactive monitoring.
• Handle and deal with complaints and allegations of fraud quickly and efficiently.
• Report breaches immediately.
• Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance policies and procedures reflect this.
• Stay on top of new rules from regulators and support the Head of Compliance in planning and keeping colleagues up to date across the whole business.

About you:

• An all-around compliance specialist in a senior compliance position or a person aiming to advance to one.
• It is necessary to have success and experience in a regulated financial services compliance function. It is extremely beneficial to have experience with consumer/SME lending compliance.
• It is crucial to have a thorough awareness of the regulatory environment in the UK. Knowledge of the
• Consumer Credit industry would be beneficial.
• Experience analysing and approving consumer credit financial promotions is highly desirable; hands-on experience complying with FCA financial promotions laws is necessary.
• Background in looking into fraud accusations and complaints.
• Experience with monitoring compliance.
• A strong personality and the capacity to handle a busy day are necessary. the capacity to question concepts and procedures and to comprehend the perspectives of others.
