We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to ensure the maintenance and continuous improvement of our ISO certified Quality & Environmental Management Systems. The role involves managing our Health & Safety management system to achieve ISO45001 certification by 2024. The Compliance Officer will also oversee various compliance-related tasks, including training coordination, hazardous waste management, quality checks, fire safety, risk assessments, and GDPR compliance.
Day to day of the role:- Maintain and improve the ISO certified Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
- Manage the Health & Safety management system, aiming for ISO45001 certification by 2024.
- Coordinate and book internal and external training for staff, including first aid and forklift training.
- Organise the safe storage and collection of hazardous and WEEE waste in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct daily quality checks throughout the factory to ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage Fire Safety processes, including fire risk assessments and implementing measures.
- Conduct and review Risk and COSHH assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead ISO, Achilles, UL, and Deka yearly audits, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Review, record, and report on all returned units, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure GDPR compliance across the company’s operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or Quality Management.
- Experience in a compliance role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications.
- Relevant certifications in Health & Safety, Quality Management, or Environmental Management are advantageous.
