This is a thriving secondary school located in the Ward of Erdington, committed to providing an exceptional education for all students. They are now seeking a passionate and motivated Computer Science ECT to join their dynamic team.
As a Computer Science ECT, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to students at both KS3 and KS4 levels. You will be responsible for covering all aspects of the national curriculum, ensuring that students develop a strong understanding of Computer Science principles and practices. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity for career development and growth within our supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and inspired to excel.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Differentiate teaching approaches to accommodate the diverse needs of learners within the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Computer Science department.
- Engage with parents and guardians to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) leading to QTS.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science, with a passion for inspiring young minds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
