Construction Site Manager
Permanent, Full Time
Salary: up to £55,000 + Car Allowance
Location: SE18, London
One of the UK's leading Service Providers are recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Manager to manage and deliver projects on a healthcare site.
The Construction Site Manager will be responsible for managing multiple life-cycle projects while ensuring the efficient operation of facilities until completion.
Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including internal/external stakeholders, maintenance teams and contractors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
As Construction Site Manager, you will take a lead on developing client relationships, ensuring delivery against cost/timeframes, and managing subcontractor performance.
Projects will range from in value and will be relatively high-volume. They’ll cover M&E, plumbing/heating, window/door replacements, roofing, civils, and other bespoke projects.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven project management experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Managed projects of high value
- Previously worked on a healthcare contract would be helpful
- Technical background/qualifications including SMSTS & CSCS Gold
- Strong knowledge of CDM, building systems and regulatory compliance
- Minor works experience.
You would be responsible for:
- Managing capital works construction projects
- Providing project direction, focus and consistency across the project
- Reviewing project schedules and budgets and questioning them when they fall off schedule or over budget
- Having a clear understanding of the way the job is priced to enable us to take full benefit of any opportunities for variations
- Coordinating with sub-contractors and their appointment in conjunction with the project Commercial Manager
- Attending, preparing and reporting for all meetings in relation to the project
- Being responsible for site safety and ensuring SHEQ roles, responsibilities and requirements are met
