Tesla is a mission-driven company. The role of the Content & Communications function is to establish and strengthen authentic connections with audiences everywhere. We focus on premium brand stories related to our products and our customers; we manage the corporate reputation and brand equity; and we engage, inspire and motivate our communities.
The Content & Communications Associate will execute on communication campaigns, media stories, and announcements. They will draft statements, write media alerts, pitch high impact stories, and craft content ideas relevant to a wide array of influencer profiles and journalists. You will use your local knowledge of relevant traditional media, social channels and influencers to increase awareness and understanding of Tesla’s products, constantly thinking of how to make them fans of the brand.
You will work closely with sales, charging and service teams on the specific objectives of company initiatives, including but not limited to, product launches, location openings and product updates. You must be solution oriented, flexible, self-driving and have the ability to change course quickly, think big and start small, and thrive in a high-stress environment where speed of execution is valued.

- Pitch proactive stories and reviews to varied media and influencers, including but not limited lifestyle, automotive and tech primarily focused on regions in Ireland as well as on national campaigns.
- Handle media inquiries, product placement opportunities and develop press and influencer relations, manage and hand over cars for test drives/loans to press.
- Handle coverage reports and updates, analysing quality and quantity of coverage achieved per quarter.
- Work with the Tesla Sales team to build stories with press, customers and a range of new audiences to help tell the Tesla story externally in new and creative ways.
- Understand and support the local sales teams and tie our communications to our local business goals and metrics.
- Develop, edit and translate written materials, including product messaging, email mailers, customer stories, communications plans and FAQs, blog posts, and other collateral.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Communications, Public Relations, Journalism)
- 2-4 years in product and/or corporate communications, preferably for a major technology, lifestyle or automotive company or acquired on agency side.
- Experience with or able to develop strong relationships with regional media and can demonstrate initiative in managing a wide range of projects with a high degree of independence.
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills to craft external correspondence, communications plans, press materials and can demonstrate a practical and advanced understanding of visual communications, social media and the digital landscape.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and very fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail on all projects whilst maintaining a focus on speed of execution.
- The role will be based in Hammersmith, London as well as frequent travel to our Tesla Tottenham location, and further travel around the south of the UK (30%). This role requires a clean, valid driving license.
