CRP Group are currently recruiting for their client who are a Grounds Maintenance company based in the UK.
The successful Contract Manager will join a growing division within the company and will be responsible for the smooth running of projects, Health & Safety, subcontractor management, budgeting and pricing and quality and standards for a team of Rope Access operatives carrying out de-vegetation work on the Rail.
Location: This will be a remote position however there will need to be a travel across the UK depending where projects are based.
The key responsibilities of the Contract Manager will be:
- Uphold procedural compliance, ensuring all activities adhere to established protocols and meet program timeframes.
- Ensure all teams involved in are properly trained and possess the necessary skills for the task including relevant tickets and compliance.
- Communicate and ensure all relevant contractors understand the procedures.
- Implement safety measures including the development and implementation of Safe Methods of Work, Risk Assessments before work commences.
- Maintain all required documentation.
- Ensure invoices for completed work accurately reflect the specifications and agreements in place.
- Actively seek new work opportunities both within the company and externally.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information and assess potential new projects.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation based on site visits to support project proposals.
- Create quotations outlining project scope, costs, and timelines for potential clients.
- Liaise with clients to answer questions, address concerns, and build relationships.
- Set up new projects in the system, including setting up invoices for sign-off.
- Assign teams to projects, facilitate site inductions, and allocate site work using designated sheets.
- Oversee the compliance of all assigned teams regarding work tickets and procedures on-site.
- Utilize forecasting techniques to anticipate upcoming workload and resource needs.
The successful Contract Manager will have/ be:
- Previous experience in a similar role within Arboriculture or Rail
- PTS
- SMSTS
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Contract experience
- A good understanding of core principles of managing a contract and liaising with clients
- Working at Height experience/managing (desirable)
- IRATA (desirable)
- Arboriculture experience/qualifications (desirable)
