We are recruiting a Contract Manager to support our Southwest Pathology Services (SPS) business in Somerset. The role is remote, but one is required to visit the site occasionally.
Job Summary
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of contractual relationships and Service Level Agreements with SPS’ pathology customers, including Somerset NHS Foundation Trust (Trust) and others.
- Acts as the primary interface to customers and senior stakeholders with respect to the contractual obligations under the contracts and related agreements.
- Provides expert contractual management and advice to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, minimise risks and issues, and achieve SPS’s strategic and financial objectives.
- Promote effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Actively develop robust contract management policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of quality standards and control of expenses.
Essential Skills and Requirements
- Experience in customer contract management or related experience working in a commercial environment
- Significant demonstrated experience in handling high-value complex contracts
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to give authoritative advice and influence colleagues and external stakeholders
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Demonstrated commercial negotiation skills
- Significant experience in managing commercial risks
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong academic ability
- Ability to continuously meet deadlines and deal with high workloads
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and with an energetic, pragmatic down to earth approach
