We are currently looking for a Digital Contracts and Procurement Specialist to join our team.
Reporting to the Digital Business Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for advising Heads, Directors and relevant managers utilising their professional expertise.
They will play a key role in supporting the planning, implementation and management of all Digital contracts with suppliers. This will involve ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of robust contract management. Management and delivery of procurement actions and commercial risk associated with all policy, legal, legislative and grant restrictions / requirements whilst delivering value for money.
The post holder will be required to support the Digital Business Services Manager in identifying and drive process efficiencies, identify and mitigate against procurement compliance risk, delivering value for money and creating savings opportunities.
The main duties of the post;
Develop a structured and consistent approach to contracting, contract monitoring, Service agreements, and management of the Digital landscape for the council
Project manage Digital Services tender processes and assist in the selection of service providers and the negotiation/ identification of new Contracts and frameworks. This will involve the setting up and chairing of digital services procurement panel.
Develop and maintain a set of contract and Procurement processes and procedures and guides for Digital Services.
You will have experience in/of;
- Significant and wide experience of providing contract / procurement support to senior management in the public sector
- Experience of contract management within public sector frameworks
- Project management experience
- Experience of preparing and implementing processes and procedures
- Experience in drafting complex service contracts
Ideally you will have;
- Must be educated to Degree level or possess equivalent occupational experience.
- MCIPS qualified or equivalent relevant experience
- Fully proficient in Microsoft office.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft excel.

The post holder will be part of a team that manages the annual budgeting , day to day procurements, and services agreements working closely with Digital Services, The Council, and our Partners.
