This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Housing Related Support Team Team, within the Contract Monitoring Unit which forms part of the Kirklees Adult and Health Service within Kirklees Council.
Working within the Council’s values, the team are passionate about supporting and working collaboratively with Housing Related Support Providers. To provide high quality services to assist people to achieve outcomes that are personalised and meaningful to them whilst offering choice and encouragement to live as independently as possible within the community, whilst ensuring Value for Money services.
We have a number of commissioned services which we manage and monitor directly and also form part of the Supported Housing Improvement Project (SHIP) multi-disciplinary team to ensure the quality of support provided by non-commissioned services also meets our high standards.
The posts are fixed term posts for a maximum of three years funded externally as part of the SHIP. These roles will have an emphasis SHIP non-commissioned supported accommodation providers.
The Role Involves:
- Monitoring, supporting and advising providers with the aim of striving for continual improvement for the benefit of service users
- Maintaining accurate information on our IT system
- Liaising with providers, service users and a wide range of stakeholder professionals both internal and external to the Council
- Undertaking Contract Support and Quality Monitoring meetings both electronically and on site at the providers office and gaining feedback from service users about their experience of the service as an important part of this process
- Producing Quality Monitoring reports and advising and supporting providers in relation to contract compliance
- Mobile / Hybrid working

You will:
- have the relevant knowledge and supportive and motivational skills to work with housing support providers to improve the quality of support being delivered.
- use excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Have a good level of IT knowledge and skills to produce monitoring information and analysis
- manage your own workload, have excellent organisational skills and have robust time management skills.
