Control Systems Assistant Engineer Summary:
We're seeking an Assistant Engineer/PES Engineer to support and focus on the delivery of Control Systems. The role involves Integrated Works Testing at subcontractor facilities, overseeing installation and commissioning at the Cumbria site, and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit subcontractor facilities in Gloucester, Chorley, and Northampton for Integrated Works Testing and Safe System of Work agreement.
- Support commissioning of Control Systems at Sellafield site.
- Assist the Technical Lead/Manager in managing engineering activities and ensuring compliance with UK Regulations and Sellafield standards.
- Evaluate subcontractor submissions, plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities independently.
- Troubleshoot faults, recommend solutions, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
Requirements:
- Control Systems Engineer with SCADA & PLCs experience.
- Previous success in major projects.
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a relevant degree.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Rockwell equipment.
- Familiarity with Sellafield standards and knowledge of data networking devices.
- Two years' experience in a similar role; nuclear experience is a plus.
The Role:
- Verify control system design, support installation, and commissioning at subcontractor facilities and the Sellafield site.
- Assist the system integrator during Integrated Works Testing.
- The role can be office-based or hybrid, requiring travel based on project phases.
