Corporate Finance Specialist

We are working with a leading advisory firm in Belfast, that is looking for a Corporate FinanceManager or Senior Manager to join its Financial Due Diligence team. The position would be to provide best-in-class financial modelling and analytics support to the business while also having M&A process and project management experience to support client M&A activities.

NOTE: This is a UK based role and applicants should already possess a UK passport or right to work visa.

Duties would be as follows:

• Lead key financial analysis and modelling activities
• Work within Deal Advisory that is driving value for our clients using advanced analytics and data enabled solutions.
• Our team delivers insights on profitability, customers, products, and other categories using transactional, public, and private datasets.
• The team works on a variety of engagements across industries and the data analytics required vary by project. There will also be opportunity for collaborative working alongside other data analysis professionals within the wider Advisory practice.
• You will also be involved in team management and development. These tasks vary widely in nature and will include developing and leading internal training, assisting the risk management process, staffing and resourcing, client pitches and networking events.
• provide deep business analytics, develop insightful analysis and integrate findings into project-based product deliverables
• Supporting financial analysis and feasibility on new markets and business growth areas.
• Assisting deal structuring and due diligence workstreams associated with all stages of a growth project process.
• Project management support for key activities and workstreams at all stages of growth project processes.

Applicants for the position should possess the following:

• Chartered Accountant
• Strong academic record (minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree)
• Strong advisory experience, this could be Corporate Finance, audit, TAS or consulting
• Experience in project management, including planning, organising, co-ordinating and managing staff, clients and partners towards the successful completion of a project.
• Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate large and complex datasets into meaningful insights.
• Superior analytical skills and knowledge of database systems, research tools and financial modelling and analysis.
• High level of experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL or similar capability required. Python or other ETL tools are an advantage.
