About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Marketing team on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) until May 2025, as a Creative Communications Executive within our Trading and Initiatives squad. This is a great role for anyone with experience in marketing, who is looking to develop their skills within the Financial Services industry.

The main focus of your role will be building on our Financially Fearless work. Women are chronically under-represented in the world of investing. And only 34% of women say they're comfortable making investment decisions. This in part is down to the language surrounding the industry. You will play a part in driving change to make investing more accessible for everyone.

You'll join an experienced and diverse Creative Communications team that sits within our wider in-house marketing department. We bring different skill sets together to work collaboratively in squads, with focused objectives and targets.

You'll be expected build on your existing knowledge of the industry, our products, your audience, and their needs. You'll provide your marketing squad with creative delivery, working closely with, and learning from the people in your squad, the design team and other channel experts.

What you'll be doing

  • Propose, create and deliver engaging and relevant content and communications for both content-led and offer-led marketing campaigns, across multiple channels.
  • Deliver new and improved content for squad web pages, working collaboratively with the squad's digital optimisation specialist.
  • Become a specialist in at least two products or services, and develop a working knowledge of the full HL range and the overall HL proposition.
  • Stay on top of the latest news, developments and trends that affect your products and target market. Use this to generate, propose and drive ideas for marketing campaigns and client communications.
  • Build knowledge of marketing best practice and deliver continued improvement by seeking insight from clients, analytics, helpdesk, advisers, research and competitors (UK and overseas).

About you

  • Superb creative writing skills, innovative in your approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Collaborative mind-set with the ability to bring people with them
  • A creative thinker with plenty of ideas.
  • Willing to learn, develop knowledge and work towards qualifications
  • Keen interest and passion for marketing and Financial Services
  • Experience in online and offline marketing
  • Offer-led and content marketing best practice
  • Understanding of financial products and markets
  • Investments or pensions experience

Interview process

This will be a one-stage interview process, consisting of competency and behavioural based questions.

Working Schedule

You have the option of working from home and coming into the office. We like team members to come into the office at least twice a week to amplify collaboration and planning.
