Credit Control / Accounts Assistant

RECfinancial are currently recruiting exclusively for this well Leicester based business based near Enderby as they look to recruit an experenced Credit Control / Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. The Company has a very friendly yet professional environment and is currently seeking a like-minded Credit Control / Accounts Assistant to join their team. As a new addition to the team, will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
You'll report directly into an empowering Finance Director and work very closely with other department heads.
What does your role involve?

• A large proportion of your time will be handling Credit Control duties, chasing outstanding invoices, taking payments and facilitating repayment plans.
• Daily posting and reconciliation of the office bank account on Xero
• Efficiently managing the direct debit and BACS process in line with current regulations
• 30% of your time will be spent on the following;
• Posting supplier invoices
• Statement runs and allocating incoming payments
• Processing monthly staff expenses and credit cards
• Posting information and assisting payroll
• Other financial administrative duties

What do we want as the Credit Control / Accounts Assistant?

• Have at least 2/3 years relevant work experience and a proven successful track record in the area of Credit Control.
• Be able to work with minimum supervision, taking "hands on" responsibility for all ledgers
• Have a basic understanding of the legal collection process in order to issue proceedings in the Small Claims Court.
• Be capable of balancing customer service standards with the need to keep collections on target, ensuring that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times.
