Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Near Marston Green, Birmingham, UK
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 8:30 - 5:30pm Hybrid working - 3 days Office based, 2 days working from home
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our clients team near Marston Green, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and administering credit-related activities within the organisation as well as day to day Credit Control.
You will be confident in both administrative tasks as well as liaising with individuals via phone with a confident communication style. You'll be able to build rapport quickly and happy to explain reasons for decisions being made.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant information to assess the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate credit files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to obtain additional information, clarify details, and address any credit-related inquiries.
- Credit Limits: Assess and recommend appropriate credit limits based on financial data and credit policies.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and provide insights on credit risks associated with specific customers or transactions.
- Credit Terms: Monitor and enforce credit terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and finance, to gather information and resolve credit-related issues.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on credit-related metrics, trends, and outstanding balances for management review.
- Credit Control: Assist in Credit Control activities, including following up on overdue payments and implementing collection strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to credit administration and ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in Credit Control / credit administration
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
