This role requires a leader – someone to train, mentor and direct the Credit Control team of 3.
It’s still a hands-on role where you will manage the export ledger but your key responsibilities will be implementing new processes, streamlining procedures and suggesting improvements in Board Meetings.
The reason I need to speak to candidates with manufacturing experience is because the client needs someone to understand the whole process from dealing with stock levels through to release of the goods to the customer – both in the UK and overseas.
It will be down to you to set departmental objectives, ensuring the billing targets & budgets are adhered to and that customers receive the best possible service.
The FD will give you complete reign and authority to run the function without his important, make decisions and take processes up to legal proceedings – an opportunity usually reserved for Qualified Finance Leaders.
