SalaryOne of our long-standing clients is urgently looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller for a 6 month Fixed Term contract.
It’s a great opportunity to join a really nice business with a great team. We need someone with experience who enjoys being organised and likes building relationships with customers and who can ultimately influence and support their billing processes.
Key Experience Needed:
- Responsible for all credit control duties and directly reporting to the Finance Manager.
- Raising invoices.
- Processing of monthly and ad-hock direct debits.
- Ensuring all contract documentation is in place to set up accounts and collect cash.
- To ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner.
- Chase overdue invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
- Dealing promptly with internal and external queries about payments.
- Regularly contacting clients.
- Identify changes in payment patterns and report on it.
- Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms.
- Provide accurate advice on billing / invoice queries.
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met.
- Ad-hock reporting.
- Provide any support needed by others in the team.
Key Requirements:
- At least two years’ experience within Credit Control.
- Basic Bookkeeping and Accounting knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- General experience of prime ledgers – Sales, Purchase and Cashbook is preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent MS Office and Excel skills.
- A good team player.
