Credit Controller

Totum Partners is delighted to be working with a Legal Services firm currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join the Finance Operations Team. 

The ideal Credit Controller will be responsible for the following:

• Establish strong working relationships with all Matter Supervisors and Billing Executives
• Hold regular monthly review meetings to ensure that focus is maintained on timely billing and debt collection
• Operate the Firm’s credit control system, phone and chase clients, send bill reminder
• Advise fee earners on progress in chasing outstanding debts
• Distribute a summary of overdue debts to the Revenue Control Manager
• Responsible for dealing efficiently and effectively with queries as they arise
• Will be required to assist the billing team at peak billing times
• May be required to assist the European Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks

The ideal Credit Controller will have:

• Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
• Good communicator with high levels of interpersonal skills
• A good telephone manner when talking to clients, both internally and externally
• Organised and accurate with good attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure when working in a fast-paced environment
