About the role
As a Criminal Justice Housing Support Worker, you will provide housing and recovery support to people who have a history of substance and/or alcohol issues and who are experiencing accommodation problems. You will provide a range of interventions to support people on their journey to independent living.
Working closely with the Police, probation, and other partner organisations, you will encourage and nurture support networks in the wider community for people to access.
All Support Workers receive an in-depth training package to provide you with the skills you need to support people in our houses.
About you
- You will have some experience working in a support role, but we will provide you with the knowledge and training you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centred way.
- You are compassionate, energetic, reliable, and committed to improving the health and wellbeing of those experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.
- Patience and resilience will come naturally to you. You should have good interpersonal and listening skills as you will be supporting people with challenging mental health problems.
- Above all, you will be enthusiastic and have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives
