As a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.
As an Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting our local police within Offender to Rehab Programme. This collaborative effort between CGL and Coventry Police is committed to engaging offenders, partners, and colleagues to prevent harm and reduce demand for volume crime impacting the business community.
We are thrilled to announce a exciting partnership between CGL (Change, Grow, Live) and Coventry Police, aiming to enhance the transformative Offender to Rehab Programme. This unique initiative, running informally since 2018 with West Midlands Police, has demonstrated success in rehabilitating prolific retail offenders with prolonged and severe drug addiction.

Hours:37.5 per week
Salary: £27,449,52 to £31,529,41 per year
Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
Take a leading role in establishing effective localised partnerships to engage, reassure, and support organisations, groups, and individuals across communities.
Proactively identify individuals in Coventry who meet the criteria and would benefit from the Rehab Programme.
Effectively engage with vulnerable individuals in addiction, ensuring adherence to equality, diversity, and human rights considerations.
Maintain regular communication and build trust with offenders through check-ins, assessments, appointments, and family liaison.
Attend multi-agency meetings to review and discuss strategies and interventions for individuals within the O2R Cohort, ensuring appropriate information exchange in line with legislation
Conduct both Pre-Release (in conjunction with Resettlement Teams) and Post-Release Prison Visits to promote early engagement with offenders.
Collaborate in decision-making with Police Office colleagues, determining readiness for treatment within CGL Coventry service. Police Vetting for this role will be required
About you:
Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
