Merton College are looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated Curriculum Manager for Social Science.
Joining the School Management Team in driving improvements forwards and managing a high performing teaching team, you will ensure all current and future students receive a first-class experience that enables them to progress and attain their qualifications, developing long-lasting learning and employability skills.
You will monitor and support subject specialists within the Basic Skills team to prioritise and meet deadlines, and coordinate Teaching, Learning and Assessment standards, including conducting lesson observations, learning walks, setting action plans to support staff in developing their teaching and learning profile as needed.
We’re looking for someone who holds a degree or relevant professional qualification in Social Science, and who has excellent current teaching skills, recognised as a good or outstanding teacher. You will be required to teach twelve hours a week on Access and Criminology courses. You’ll have substantial relevant teaching experience, a sound knowledge of the curriculum offered along with a comprehensive understanding of current and impending changes to the curriculum.
