Our client specialises in the testing of soil, water and leachate samples from brownfield sites. They also provide on–site environmental monitoring services and environmental monitoring equipment hire. They are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Assistantto join their dedicated team on a temporary basis in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a Customer Service role, possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, have good IT skills, and possess an excellent attention to detail.
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be speaking to clients and dealing with any queries or complaints, ensuring all information on the company database is up to date. You will also be liaising with the site team to ensure schedules are correct and communicating effectively with management and clients.
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:
- Demonstrable experience within a Customer Service role
- Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have good IT skills, with good understanding and experience of Excel
- Possess an excellent attention to detail
- Be a team player
Your duties as a Customer Service Assistant will include:
- Dealing with telephone and email correspondence with clients and colleagues
- Organising of courier collections and deliveries to clients
- Liaising daily with the courier provider to resolve any problems in a timely manner
- Handling incoming customer queries
- Providing the appropriate company capabilities information to clients or referring to the correct person
- Resolving customer complaints, or if not possible, escalating to the Quality Team
- Referring any new clients to the Customer Relationship Manager for inclusion in the CRM database
- Providing pre–approved quotations to clients
- Liaising with the Laboratories to check testing availability for fast turnaround requests
- Scheduling of Jobs and Samples onto LIMS
- Adhering to company s policies and procedures when assisting customers
- Extraction of daily metrics from LIMS for reporting to management
- Post authorisation; amending and issuing reports to clients
- Assisting with maintenance and updating of LIMS
- Scheduling and organisation of sub–contracting analysis
Salary:
GBP10.42 per hour
