Job Title:             Customer Service Manager
Salary:                 £40k - £50k plus benefits
Location:             Warrington, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Leigh, Astley

Martin Anthony, a specialist recruiter, is partnering with a manufacturer boasting a proud heritage. Renowned as one of the UK's leading manufacturers in their product range, they are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate should have Customer Service Management or Internal Sales Management experience in the Manufacturing sector.

About the Customer Service Manager Role:

As the Internal Sales Manager, you will lead and develop the Internal Sales Team to achieve business KPIs. You will be a key player in the commercial team, contributing to areas such as Sales, Estimating, CRM, customer perception, market direction, sales focus, quotations and telesales.

Customer Service Manager Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and manage your team to excel in their performance and development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Field Sales Managers to fully understand key account activities and ensure alignment.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Continuously evaluate and enhance the Customer Service and support function, leading surveys and actively seeking customer feedback.
  • Coaching & Development: Equip your team with the skills and knowledge to be effective and commercially savvy.
  • KPI Monitoring: Regularly review and ensure all KPIs are met.
  • Relationship Building: Provide excellent Customer Service, fostering positive and beneficial relationships both internally and externally.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to support the commercial function.
  • Tender Management: Oversee the timelines of new tenders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Process Improvement: Take ownership of internal/Customer Service SOPs, identifying and implementing improvements.
  • CRM Expertise: Become the CRM super user and guide the team on its effective use.
  • Order Management: Ensure all orders are entered onto BC by the close of business.
  • Timely Quotations: Ensure all quotations are submitted to customers within 24 hours or as requested.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular one-on-ones to measure individual team member performance.

Customer Service Manager, What We’re Looking For :

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing a sales office team.
  • Team Coaching: Ability to coach and lead an internal sales team effectively.
  • Key Account Management: Experience managing key accounts and understanding their needs.
  • Meeting Management: Proficiency in planning, running, and reporting on meetings, as well as following up on actions.
  • IT Proficiency: Strong skills in IT, especially Microsoft Office (Excel), and familiarity with BC (business system), CRM, planning, and reporting systems.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and create meaningful statistical reports.
  • Motivation & Leadership: A natural motivator and leader, capable of inspiring a team to achieve their best.
