About the role

12 Month Fixed Term Contract


As a Customer Support Advisor at NFU Mutual, you’ll play a crucial role in our Thornbury Office’s growth and success. You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead generation.


You’ll also be the backbone of our support team, providing crucial support in the form of research, data analysis, and other administrative tasks.


You’ll be the face of our company, interacting with customers on a daily basis either over the phone or face to face. You’ll be their trusted advisor, helping them with midterm policy adjustments and policy renewals.


But most importantly, you’ll be the champion of customer satisfaction. You’ll build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring the best service is given at all times in line with our policies and procedures. This role will be office based giving you the opportunity to be the face of NFU Mutual within one of our successful flagship branches


This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”.  Further information can be found in the FCA Handbook.

About you

As an experienced Customer Support Advisor, you’ll bring your experience of dealing with customers and handling customer queries. You’ll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.


Additionally, you’ll be a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of the insurance industry is desirable.
