1 year FTC Customer Support Executive / Grimsby

Hays are currently working exclusively with a global, well-known and recognised Grimsby based manufacturing company, to support the recruitment of a full-time Customer Support Executive on a 1-year FTC.
As a Customer Support Executive, you will be part of a small team to provide support for the external sales team.
Your new role
In your new role, your responsibilities will include :

Assist External Sales team and Agents with pre-sales tasks.

Be the main link between our company and our clients and provide them with excellent service and support worldwide.

Be the first person to contact customers and regional representatives.

Develop and utilise a good level of product knowledge.

Manage our pre-sales activities by recording and handling enquiries in collaboration with the external sales team and other departments.

Prepare technically detailed tenders for Project Business using product knowledge and with contributions from Plant and other internal departments.

Actively follow up with clients and local representatives to convert quotations into orders.

Keep records, files and registers of enquiries, quotations and orders.

Record new sales orders and communicate with internal departments to process sales orders according to company operating procedures.

Communicate with plant operations to get and give regular updates to customers on order status.

With help from Marketing, get and send literature and information to customers as/when needed.

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum 2 years' experience of working in a busy Customer Support office environment.

Sales experience including order processing, proposal writing and proactive follow up to tenders and quotes - Desirable

Proficient at Microsoft, including Excel

Experience working with systems - CRM is desired but not required.

Foreign language, particularly Spanish would be advantageous but not required.

Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
