What You'll Do: As a Customs Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing various aspects of the Customs process, from Import/Export customs entries to Bond documents and Customs amendments.
- Championing our department's vision for successful business development.
- Ensuring all Import, Export, and Cross Trade activities are completed accurately and on time, with a keen eye for detail.
- Providing training and ongoing support to new starters and existing team members on Customs systems, procedures, and regulations.
- Acting as a point of contact for out-of-hours Customs issues and assisting with Import/Export Compliance queries.
- Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline departmental operations.
- Cultivating strong customer and inter-departmental relationships, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Previous experience in a Customs role, ideally as a Customs E.T.S.F or similar, with a passion for freight and logistics.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- A demonstrable background in administration, coupled with analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
