Data Analyst (Power BI Application)

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights using Power BI, ensuring the effective visualization of complex data sets. The Power BI Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse business requirements, design and implement data models, and generate interactive reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support data team with report creation and design for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI and other reporting tools
• Create and maintain documentation behind Power BI process.
• Continuously improve user experience by creating tutorials and enhancing the visual aspect of the BI
• Build and manage Power BI connections, including dealing with data flow errors,
• Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications
• Be experienced in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
• Experience with data services in Azure including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Analysis Services and Data Lake Analytics.
• Regularly examine & update reports from Data, UI & Design perspective.
• Have knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to gather and integrate data from Various sources.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across different data sets.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver tomely solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data0related issues as they arise.
• Document data models, report specifications, and relevant processes.

Experience

• Proficient with SQL and other common programming languages.
• Experienced with SAS software programs.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Able to perform complex tasks involving datasets and statistics.
• Knowledgeable about agile tactics and methodology.
• Proven experience as a BI Developer
• String proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and related tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
