ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Data Analyst at OnTheMarket, your role involves analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies within the real estate industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze data from internal databases, third-party sources, APIs, and other relevant platforms ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Clean and preprocess data to remove duplicates, handle missing values, and standardize formats for analysis.
Analyze large datasets using statistical methods, SQL and data visualization tools (like Tableau, Power BI, ...) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights within large datasets.
Create visually appealing and informative dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Apply statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and predictive modeling to identify relationships, forecast trends, and solve business problems.
Develop and maintain predictive models to support business forecasting, customer segmentation, pricing optimization, or other analytical tasks.
Interpret data trends, anomalies, and outliers to provide actionable insights and recommendations for business improvements, marketing strategies, and operational efficiencies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and finance to align data analysis with business objectives.
Conduct data quality checks, validate data accuracy, and ensure data integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
Implement data governance practices and work with data engineers or IT teams to resolve data quality issues.
Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by stakeholders, answer specific business questions, and provide data-driven solutions to support decision-making processes.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, KPI dashboards, and performance metrics tracking for monitoring business performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees (Master’s, PhD) are a plus.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to process complex datasets, analyze data trends, and derive meaningful insights.
Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative methods, and data modeling techniques.
Experience with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL for data querying, Python for data manipulation and analysis and Excel for data visualization and reporting.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar tools to create interactive dashboards and reports.
Hands-on experience using CI/CD to deliver high quality deliverables and how to test them using automated testing.
Familiarity with functional programming (Clojure) is advantageous.
Experience using Google Analytics creating custom Reports / extract information.
Understanding of database concepts, data structures, and SQL queries for data retrieval, joins, aggregations, and transformations.
Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Redshift, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is advantageous.
Familiarity with Google Analytics and creating Reports / extract information from GA4.
Ability to understand business processes, industry trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to align data analysis with business goals and strategies.
Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail in data analysis, ensuring accuracy in calculations, and maintaining data quality standards throughout analytical processes.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate insights clearly, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes across departments.
