Data Analyst
Location
Northwich office minimum of 3 days per week with option to work from home 2 days per week.
Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with a good understanding of ISO9001 accreditation standards to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging advanced data mining techniques to extract valuable insights, organising and transforming data into meaningful structures, and utilising statistical analysis to predict trends and patterns. Working with a Systems Analyst and Compliance Manager to design and implement a modern user experience of analytics and reporting across the group. Additionally, this role will play a pivotal part in streamlining business processes, ensuring data quality, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders.
Role and responsibilities:
- Utilise advanced data mining techniques to extract relevant information from large datasets and identify correlations and patterns.
- Ensure that all data analysis processes adhere to ISO9001 accreditation standards, maintaining compliance and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Use data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Perform statistical analysis of data to uncover meaningful insights and trends, supporting evidence-based decision-making processes.
- Utilise tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats such as diagrams and graphs, facilitating comprehension and decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarising key findings and insights, and present these to management or clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes, leveraging data-driven insights to drive efficiencies.
- Monitor data quality, identify and address issues, and remove corrupt data to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analysis outcomes.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements, ensuring alignment between analytical outputs and organizational objectives.
Skills Required:
- An understanding of ISO9001 accreditation standards and experience in applying them to data analysis processes.
- Experience with Microsoft tools including SQL Analysis Services and Excel including ODATA and ODBC functionality.
- Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Business Central, Jet Reports, Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM would be very beneficial.
- Proficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics techniques.
- Expertise in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and understandable manner.
- Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, DAX or SQL is a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
