The starting salary for this role is £38,746 per annum based on a 36-hour working week. This role is offered as a 2-year fixed term contract.

You will report to the Head of Data, Digital and Specialist Projects. We encourage agile working, but you may be asked to attend meetings at our headquarters at Woodhatch Place in Reigate.
About the Role
We have an opportunity for a versatile member of staff to join Surrey Fire and Rescue Service's (SFRS) Digital, Data and Specialist Projects (DDSP) Team for a 2 year fixed term contract. The DDSP team is the central hub through which Service performance data is collated and reported. We also lead on IT projects and manage data governance and Freedom of Information requests.
In this role, no two days will be the same. You will carry out various responsibilities which will include:
- Collating and checking data for the returns SFRS makes to external bodies such as CIPFA, HMICFRS, Home Office and NFCC
- Leading on the organisation of the annual Awards and Commendations event including arranging meetings, booking a venue, ensuring availability of VIP guests and liaising with Business Support
- Facilitating monthly team meetings
- Making changes to the Service Governance area on the Service's Sharepoint site as required
- Contributing to the updating of the Service's Statement of Assurance
- Supporting colleagues with projects.
