As the Data and Exams Officer, you will lead on the planning and implementation of all examinations across the school. The Data and Exams Officer will take responsibility for all data activity within the school, supporting the leaders of the school by providing insights and analysis which result in positive outcomes for students.
Data and Exams Officer Responsibilities:
- The Data and Exams Officer must understand and implement JCQ regulations in respect of external examinations.
- Be responsible for collecting and recording student UCI and ULN information, on admission to the school, and registering and ‘claiming’ students with relevant bodies.
- Be responsible for the collation of fair access returns for students and communicate clearly to relevant staff where students have opted out.
- Be responsible for the registration of external examination entries with examination boards, ensuring every student is entered for every examination with special consideration arrangements applied for, as appropriate, liaising with SLT regarding disapplication of any student(s).
- Assist with data entry and assessment cycle tasks, outside of the external exam season.
- Take responsibility for the student MIS, ensuring information is up to date, accurate and is collected and refreshed on a regular basis, collaborating with relevant administrative colleagues to collate this data. Also, setting up users on SIMS and tailoring access requirements, in line with the postholder’s role.
- Work with the school SENDCO with regard to access arrangements and special considerations.
- Coordinate the collation of data for Ofsted and other inspections.
- Previous Data and Exams experience.
- Previous experience of SIMS.
- Ability to maintain a professional persona and attitude with students.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
