Continuing our commitment to good governance within Longhurst Group we’re currently looking for an individual with experience of Data Protection who can support our team primarily with subject access requests (SAR). Working with our customers this role represents an opportunity for an individual with previous data protection experience to further develop their experience within a leading Housing provider.
This role is offered on a 12 month FTC, working hybrid, whether from home, one of our geographical offices (Boston, Rushden, Walsall) or locations across the Midlands and the East of England to ensure that you support your team, our colleagues, and our customers. Acting as an initial contact point, you’ll deliver a full subject access request service to our customers. This will include informing and advising organisations of their obligations and ensuring these requests are fulfilled within required timeframes. You’ll work both on the phone and via email to manage expectations with your stakeholders and external parties whilst also maintaining a log of any access requests.
As part of your ongoing personal development you will need to maintain a high level of knowledge around data protection law and its regulations, and you will also deploy this knowledge to help the Group further develop its policies.
With a customer focus to your work we’re looking for an individual who can work independently, has excellent verbal and written skills and an individual who would be motivated in knowing that they their work will also contribute to creating positive change to customer experience and process improvements.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a working knowledge of Data Protection, ideally gained within a compliance-based role. With a core element of this role being the completion of the access requests with our customers it is preferred you have prior experience of delivering this service.
