Alliance News is seeking a data manager to support its business news operations.
The position will report to the editor & chief executive, while also taking direction from the news editor and deputy news editor. It involves daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks, alongside project-based work.
Internally, key responsibilities include maintaining the database that populates our calendars of financial events and keeping our company lists and content tags up to date. Externally, the data manager will manage our relationships with third-party content and IT support partners on a day-to-day basis. The position also involves front-line technical support of Alliance News distribution partners.
Candidates must be detailed oriented and highly proficient in using Excel and all Google applications. An interest in financial markets will make the job more enjoyable.
The full-time position is partly office-based and partly home-based, and all such applicants must have permission to work in the UK.
However, we also will consider home-based candidates working on a part-time contract basis.
Alliance News is a London-based news agency aimed at financial professionals and retail investors, with readership in leading dealing rooms and on prominent websites.
Starting salary: £26,000 pa or TBD
