SalaryData Lead - Digital Assets Firm, London
Essential Experience:
- Background in data in a quant-driven firm
- Significant experience working in data engineering
- Expert knowledge in Python
- Strong working knowledge of Parquet, Apache Arrow, Pandas and Polars
- Strong AWS or Cloud experience is desirable
- Strong Technical background
- Experience working in Investment/Asset Manager, Investment Banking or in a trading/Digital Assets start up is essential
- Digital Assets experience is highly desirable
- Experience working on a trading platform is desirable
This role will be responsible for:
- Managing the existing data platform
- Maintaining an inventory of our recorded data
- Extending the data platform to record all trading activity of the firm
- Extending the data platform to recording live tick data form all exchanges we're connected to
- Designing and building tools for the quants/traders to help them in their research
- Ensuring all recorded data is high quality
- Carrying out non-quant analytics tasks
- Managing the data team (currently just 1 other person, likely to grow to 2 in near future)
Given the nature of my clients business, Digital Assets/Cryptocurrency experience is highly desirable for this role. This will ideally be in a proffessional setting but a keen interest or somebody involved in personal projects or has a strong interest in this space will also be considered.
