Key Responsibilities:
Operations undergoing rapid infrastructure transformation and we spend a significant amount of time designing forward thinking, smart technologies, and applied intelligence to understand, optimize and simplify these processes, reimagining the way we communicate with one another to become more efficient.
This Client Analytics Data Science Lead will play a key role to support the Data & Analytics pillar within the OE organization, will work closely with Operations, Technology, Transformation, and Risk & Controls groups across all sectors of the bank (i.e., ICG, PBWM, and CSS Operations) to ensure tangible results aligned to the firm's strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include:
- Data Collection and Management: Collect, clean, and manage data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and integrity
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems - reorganizing data in a readable format
- Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the data's underlying patterns, behaviors, and insights
- Utilize statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business insights
- Client Analytics: Conduct deep analyses of client data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Translate data into actionable insights for improving client satisfaction, retention, and growth
- Generate client-specific reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using Tableau
- Visualization and Reporting with Tableau: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports in Tableau to visualize data insights effectively for stakeholders
- Ensure that visualizations are user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the needs of different stakeholders, from technical teams to executive management
- Model Development and Machine Learning:
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (e.g., marketing, sales, customer service, data quality ) to understand their data needs and provide insights that support their objectives.
- Communicate complex data modelling and analysis implementation strategy to Non- technical stakeholders
- Continuous Learning and Development: Pursue ongoing learning in Tableau, Data Science, machine learning, and related fields to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Propose new data initiatives and strategies for enhanced analysis and decision-making.
- Compliance and Data Governance: Ensure all data policies, data privacy laws, and compliance regulations are strictly followed. - Implement proper data governance practices to maintain the security and privacy of client data.
- Oversee, lead, guide and upskill graduates in Tableau and as required who join the group
- Degree in Data Science preferable
- Experience working with Data Reporting and Analysis tool Tableau
- Extensive hands-on experience with data modeling, database architecture & administration
- Experience with data analytics/Data Science is required, along with fluency in MS Excel.
- Hands on experience in query performance tuning, database tuning with complex tables
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, and other scripts with proficiency in at least one of the scripting languages
- Able to implement short-term delivery impacts due to constraints in data, while planning for the development of the the execution of interim and long-term strategies
